Everyone Is Freaking Out Over This Terrifying Giant Chicken

The world is full of some strange things, sure, but some set the internet off like no other and this chicken has absolutely taken the world by storm (which is not a sentence anyone expects to read).

People have understandably freaked out a bit over this weird sighting. When this chicken starts coming out of the chicken coup it just doesn’t seem to stop!

It’s enormous! And it really just walks out as if it isn’t this crazy-giant-dinosaur-bird! There are actually two of these chicken in the video which is perhaps what freaked people out the most.

It turns out, these chickens aren’t some crazy mutant hybrids that will take over the world, they are just Brahma chickens that are supposed to be terrifyingly large.

They are from Shanghai and were first brought to america in the 1850s. They are massively tall chickens, standing between 1.7 to 2 feet tall. Seeing as how a normal chicken is about 16″ tall, that’s pretty impressive!

How would you feel if one of these enormous guys ran up to you? I would be terrified!

It does however answer a lot of questions about why Foghorn Leghorn from the Looney Toons was so enormous compared to other animals! Maybe he was just a Brahma rooster!

Check out the video below and prepare yourself to be confused by the terrifying size of these birds.

DWTS Star Breaks Down In Tears When She Talks About Her Past

Simon Biles is an Olympic champion and a pretty amazing person. She is competing on Dancing With The Stars and her progress on the show is amazing.

Recently, they had a week where they dedicated a dance to the “Most Memorable Year” and while you would have thought Simone would have chosen her journey to the Olympics, she actually went with something much more personal and heartfelt: The story of her adoption.

She shares the story through tears of how her birth mother struggled with drug addiction when she was young and was in and out of jail. She was placed into foster care, but remembers how it felt to finally go home to her grandparent’s house and get to stay. They adopted her and ever since she has called them mom and dad.

Her partner Sasha Farber choreographed a waltz to “Good Good Father” dedicated to her parents and the emotions ran high while she performed. Immediately after completing her dance, she couldn’t help but rush into the arms of her parents.

She said that “My parents saved me. They’ve set huge examples of how to treat other people and they’ve been there to support me since day one. There’s nothing I could say to them to thank them enough. Even though there’s no right words, maybe dance will say it for me.”

The dance really speaks for itself and you can see just how grateful she is. Check it out below, it’ll make you want to hug your parents right away!

His Face Is Unlike Any Other, But His Heart Is Pure Gold

He might have a bit of a snoring problem, but Snuffy the cat gets all the love he needs. He was found as a stray 16 years ago and brought to a shelter.

This little baby was having a hard time finding a home before of his unique condition, but two days before Christmas this special little man met Elle.

Elle saw him and right away knew he was the one. Even though he was born without a nasal bridge or nose bone, his tiny snorts stole her heart.

She named him Snuffy and recognized he might be a little special. Elle said that “He not only looks a little different from other cat, he wheezes when he breathes, snores when he sleeps, sneezes a lot and snorts like a pig.”

None of that has stopped her from loving her buddy for the last 16 years. He is actually quite the adventurous little guy, his owner says that “he loves going for walks outside on his harness. Sometimes we take him to the park where he loves meeting new people.”

He even went for a visit to the shelter on the 16th anniversary of his adoption to show them how grateful he is they took him in when he needed help.

“Snuffy is super cuddly, every day he jumps in my lap, stands on his hind legs with his front paws on my shoulders and gives me kisses,” Elle said of her little cutie, “He’s the sweetest boy and we are so lucky to have him in our lives.”

Puppy Mill Stole His Sight, But New Family Has Shown Him How To See Love For The First Time

Dimitri the Shar Pei has had quite the life. First he survived a puppy mill and then when his health took a turn for the worst he managed to survive that and come out even stronger on the other side!

Dimitri was one of 280 dogs rescured from a puppy mill in Ohio back in 2012. He had limited vision when the Humane Society Of the United States first rescued him. Doctors explained that it was as though he was always looking through a muddy windshield.

But things weren’t going well for him at his first foster home so he ended up moving into Sarah’s apartment as a foster, but within a week he was adopted as part of her family. However one day things took a weird turn.

Dimitri was having a hard time adjusting to life outside of the puppy mill. He was incredibly nervous and any sudden noises would startle him. But over time he came to love his new home and even though he would get a few bumps from running into things, he was happy.

When Sarah noticed one day that his eyes were swollen, she brought him to the vet. “He had 80 percent eye pressure – a normal dog’s eye pressure is 10 to 20 percent. So he basically had the headache from hell and wasn’t showing it.”

He was diagnosed with sudden-onset glaucoma and his eyes had to be immediately removed. Sarah was afraid of how Dimitri would react, but surprisingly he was “actually a lot happier without his eyes.”

Sarah hopes that sharing his story will help convince people not to buy dogs online as it encourages these types of puppy mills that do not raise healthy animals. The breeder where they had found Dimitri and the other 279 dogs have previously faced animal cruelty charges in New Jersey and still managed to hurt a bunch more dogs when he moved to Ohio.

“This is why we need animal-protection issues taken seriously, because it’s actually dogs that are suffering,” Sarah said, “When you think of 280 dogs, it’s a number, but that’s 280 Dimitris.

If you want to keep up with Dimitri he has an Instagram and a Facebook account.

Autistic Man’s “Jeopardy” Dreams Finally Come True

For those living with autism, achieving your dreams can take a little longer than most people. That’s not to say it won’t happen, it just make take some extra effort.

There are often misconceptions surrounding people with autism, with the uninformed believing they can’t work, socialize, be productive, etc. The fact of the matter is, autism is a spectrum and there are different forms of the condition.

ABC’s new show, The Good Doctor, is doing their part to break the stigma. It follows a young doctor with autism and savant syndrome who is trying to fit in at his new job.

For Kelvin Smith, he knew his autism made him different, but it didn’t stop him from pursuing his dream.

”Ever since I was two, [my mom] knew I was different because how I knew my 12 times table by the time I was two,” Smith said. Smith says his mom is the one who helped achieved his goal.

It took 10 years, but Smith was finally able to appear on Jeopardy, and his strategy was fairly simple.

Smith told WIAT news that he studied past champions and read how they prepared for the show. Then he did the same. It all paid off for the Birmingham native, as he finally got to meet Alex Trebek and be on the show.

“It was an experience I will not forget, I can tell you that right now,” Smith said. “It’s a good message to send to other people with autism to know that you can do this, you can do this.”

Smith’s episode has not aired yet, and he’s bound by his contract to not reveal how he fared, but it’s safe to say he feels like he already won.

“Adrenalin was pumping through me and I loved it, I loved every moment of it,” Smith said.

Currently, Smith is enrolled in a doctorate program at Georgia Tech in Atlanta studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He also wants to start a charity for other autistic students who want to study Science, Engineering, Technology, and Math (STEM).

You can catch Kelvin Smith’s episode on Thursday, November 2nd!

Beautiful Animated Paintings Capture What Makes Love So Great

Hollywood movies and TV shows give us the impression that love is all about big, crazy gestures, but really the best things about being in love are the little details that make every day so great.

Since 2014, South Korean artist Puuung has created these stunning watercolor paintings for a series called Love Is, inspired by moments from her own life.

“Love comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives,” she explains.

“So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artwork.”

Her paintings were recently made into this animated short, but the original pieces are just as sweet!

Love is

Everyone can relate to love and the best thing about love is that it radiates in even the smallest things in life. I’m taking these little pieces of life and recreating its hidden messages on my “Love is…” illustrations.

You can see much more from my original illustration series on Grafolio.
